Are you looking for a Missoula-based & colored brown mulch? We've got a new option that we're very excited about! This sustainable, locally-produced & economically-priced dyed ground cover is a first-of-its-kind for the Garden City!
Like the "Natural" option, this dark-walnut-dyed (brown) mulch is made from used shipping pallets and the cut ends of new construction projects. It is composed of approximately 60-70% western softwoods and 30-40% eastern hardwoods.
The cutting & grinding process that creates this material is performed two full times and includes filtering with a high-powered magnet to remove nails and other metal parts (recycled separately). Once the grinding process is complete, the material is sprayed from all angles to saturate it with a custom Colorbiotics "Dark Walnut" color.
GRINDING DISCLAIMER: While this double-cut grinding and filtering process is very effective, we cannot guarantee that it is 100% metal and/or nail-free. Additionally, there are likely to be very small pieces of shredded plastic, house wrap, or other non-wood products that sneak through the grinder.
COLORANT DISCLAIMER: The coloring used on this product is provided by Colorbiotics and applied using industry-standard methods.
COLOR LEAKAGE DISCLAIMER: When using this product, pay special attention to landscaped areas or surfaces that may border this colored material. Our experience has been that any leakage of colorant used on this mulch has been easy to wash off, but the potential to stain other materials or surfaces exists.
